Since 1989 we have been working with brands, large and small, to deliver significant sales results. We have real world selling experience. We don't talk sales, we sell. We know what works! Understanding what works in selling takes real world experience - lots of it.
We don’t really like the term 'sales consultancy'. It doesn't do justice to how we work.
Our service components – business planning, sales development, brand consultancy, PR, design, web development, social media outreach and training, marketing, advertising and sustainability communications – are all driven by tremendous experience and expertise in and offer great results individually. However, our true value comes from identifying the perfect blend of these services to fit a client’s specific needs.
By working closely together and collaborating across different disciplines, our development and creative teams can spot opportunities. We’re not sure what to call our structure – but somehow ‘sales consultancy’ doesn’t really paint the whole picture – we are so much more.
Davies International is a sales consultancy like no other. Established in 1989, Davies is driven from a desire to create something new – a sales consultancy built around the changing shape of a business to better match the needs of the changing role of brands and the changing demands of their audiences.
At Davies our entire sales consulting business is focused on creating a better sales process. Most businesses initially develop and gather momentum built on the passion of the owner. Once revenue gets to a certain point there is simply too much for the owner to do and sales plateau. Getting the business to the next level is more than simply hiring a salesperson. New hires don’t alone change a business. In order for the circumstances of a business to change the business must change!
Getting new results requires new plans and new plans require a careful analysis of your current business and your future goals and direction.
Healthy businesses are constantly evolving – this is an absolute requirement!
The plateaus will vary from business to business but typically businesses get stuck when evolving from sole operator to having evening just one employee. The next typical plateau is when salespeople are hired and then each time a sales team expands. As the business grows the knowledge and the skill set of the people must improve and grow. Managing one or two people is very different than managing five or ten. Hiring specialists or expanding physical space are other common areas where businesses struggle.
Growing is never easy and each time we grow we risk our current position.
